Passing with flair

One of my favourite players is Baron Davis. Though it's not his scoring that impresses me most but his passing - his court vision. He knows where his guys are at all times. In this clip, watch Davis spot the man behind him!

Big Aussie with nice moves

Aussie centre, Aaron Baynes, is working hard at Washington State University. Here's a montage of his tough inside play. Note his footwork and positioning. He's not fast but his feet are.

An easy post move

Post moves don't need to be complicated. As this video shows, it's all about using your body to get into position for the shot. Charles Barkley used to do this well. And of course that Shaq guy isn't bad in the low post either.

Volleyball-style!

Kevin Garnett is a great offensive player but it's his defense that sets him apart from his peers. Watch his body control here as he makes a block look like a volleyball shot.

The next Steve Nash?

I saw some footage of Aaron Bruce on ESPN recently and was blown away. He's speedy off the dribble, an above average shooter and an exceptional passer. And at 6'3, I realy think he has the makings of an NBA point guard. Bruce went to Horsham College in Victoria where he averaged 21 points, 4.5 assists and shot 85 percent from the free throw line. Not too shabby. He then dazzled for two seasons at the AIS and was named the Victorian Men's Player of the Year in 2003 before heading to Baylor University. Bruce has been a standout for the Bears and now as a senior appears destined for a long career in hoops.

Could this be the next Steve Nash?
